Data retention policy

This policy says how long Kovo: BOGO & Tiered Discounts keeps each kind of information and how it is deleted. It supplements our privacy policy. We keep information only as long as the app needs it to work for you.

When you uninstall
The app stops working in your store and its access token is deleted straight away. Shopify then sends a deletion request 48 hours later, and we delete everything stored for your store: discounts, codes, settings, order information and analytics. The discounts the app created in Shopify stop applying once the app is removed.
Customer requests
When one of your customers asks you to delete their data, Shopify forwards the request to us and we remove their customer ID from our records. Their orders stay in your analytics without identifying them. For access requests, the only customer information we hold is the customer ID and order details listed above, which you can already see in Shopify.
Backups
Our database provider keeps encrypted point-in-time backups for up to 7 days, so deleted information can remain in backups for up to 7 days before it is overwritten. Backups are used only to recover from failures.
Deletion on request
To have your store's information deleted sooner, uninstall the app or email support.kovo@gmail.com and we will delete it within 30 days.
